The Arc NCR is a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc Maryland and The Arc of the United States, the largest national community-based organization devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Arrow Child & Family Ministires

Mission:
Helping Kids, Strengthening Families .  We have a special education school (Riverside) in Belcamp, MD and a transitional independent living facility for girls ages 13-21 in Bel Air, MD.

Bel Air Lions

Mission:
Lions motto is “We Serve”.   The Lions of Bel Air has over 40 members that serve the greater Bel Air area through sight and hearing conservation programs including youth sight screening; support to many youth activities including Bel Air Child Safety Day, scouting, Explorers, Bel Air High School sports and drama activities, and Harford County Teen Court; assisting youth to attend Diabetes camps; medical equipment lending closet; and Rockfield Manor garden sponsorship. CASA of Harford County, Inc.

Mission:
The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)  Program of Harford County is an organization of volunteers committed to serving abused and neglected children.  CASA advocates the best interest of these children in the judicial, educational, medical and social services communities.

Cheasapeake Cancer Alliance

Mission:
“Friends helping friends and neighbors fight cancer in Harford County.” Chesapeake Cancer Alliance volunteers raise funds to support Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center. Cancer LifeNet services and programs are provided free of charge to patients and their loved ones living with a cancer diagnosis. Cancer LifeNet is fully funded through philanthropy.

Dog Tags and Tails

Mission:
To Provide Charitable Support To America’s Military Service Men, Women, Canines And Their Families By Meeting Humanitarian Needs Beyond That Normally Provided By Department Of Defense. Through the Battle Buddy Program, Dog Tags and Tails offers trained canine companions to veterans.

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna

Mission:
As a reflection of God’s love, Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna creates affordable housing opportunities throughout Harford and Cecil counties by building, renovating, and repairing homes in partnership with the community.

Our Vision

HHS’s vision is to eliminate substandard housing in Cecil County and Harford County, Maryland through action and advocacy.

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.  Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna is an ecumenical Christian housing organization devoted to building and repairing homes in partnership with qualifying families. HHS is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit supported by government, community and private funding.

Harford Community Action Agency

Mission:
As Harford County’s designated Community Action Agency, the HCAA’s mission is to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs. We support and encourage them on their path to self-sufficiency. We accomplish this purpose through a diverse offering of programs and services. Current programs include: Maryland Energy Assistance Program, Homeless Prevention, Homeless Services, Community Food Pantry/Food Bank, Financial Services Program, GED Plus, Parenting Inside Out Program, Food Advocacy Programs and Community Case Management.

Harford Community College Foundation

Mission:
The Harford Community College Foundation, Inc., assists Harford Community College and the advancement of public higher education by broadening the base of support and communication with private donors and public agencies. Through friend raising, advocacy, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation sustains the College with financial and personal contributions for educational programs developed by the College community and approved by the Board of Trustees.

Harford County Public Library Foundation

Mission:
The Harford County Public Library Foundation raises supplemental funding and community awareness to support the Library’s capacity to provide new and expanding services, materials, and access for all people living and working in Harford County, MD. Through corporate sponsorships, individual giving, special events and grants, HCPL Foundation is able to support programs and initiatives such as new
technologies, early literacy, summer and winter reading challenges, STREAM (STEM plus Reading and Art), Silver Reader, author
discussions, and more!

Harford Family House

Mission:
Through housing, support and resources, Harford Family House, Inc. helps families and unaccompanied young adults who are experiencing homelessness transition into stable/permanent housing.

Havre de Grace Arts Collective

Mission:
To build community and stimulate economic vitality through the arts by providing quality entertainment that engages and attracts audiences; offering educational opportunities which nurture learning and creativity; and encouraging synergism among performing, cultural and visual arts groups.

The Highlands School

Mission:

We instill hope and confidence in our students by fostering a positive and nurturing environment. We focus on teaching our students methods to help them realize their strengths, overcome frustrations, and achieve academic and social success.
Highlands is a private, independent, AIMS accredited, K-12 program designed for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. We have been changing lives since the school first opened its doors in 1996. In 2007, we moved to our current state-of-the-art facility which is located on a beautiful 18-acre campus in Bel Air, Maryland.

The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc.

Mission:
The Humane Society of Harford County promotes the humane treatment of homeless, stray and abandoned animals by providing shelter, care, adoptions and community education.

LASOS

Mission:
to provide quality literacy programs for adults, at risk youth and a ready by five family literacy programs and a network of service providers for non native English speaking families of Harford county.

March of Dimes

Mission:
To support the health of all moms and babies by lowering the rate of premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.

Pathfinders for Autism

Mission:
Our mission is simple – to improve the lives of individuals with autism and the people who care for them. We accomplish this through a variety of programs and services, all of which are offered FREE of charge.

Penn-Mar Human Services

Mission:

The mission of Penn-Mar Human Services is to transform life into living for individuals with disabilities or human service needs, their families, and our staff and volunteers.

Founded in 1981, we support more than 400 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our residential, respite, educational, day learning center, community-based programs, and customized employment support, in northern Baltimore, Carroll, and Harford Counties in Maryland, and in southern York County in Pennsylvania.

Our four core values (integrity, excellence, collaboration, and innovation), serve as the foundation of our organizational culture and key measures of our success. They are the underlying principles that guide how we transform life into living at Penn-Mar Human Services.

The Red Devils

Mission:
Each year, nearly 200,000 people in America receive the life-altering diagnosis of breast cancer. In Maryland, more than 4,000 families cope with that reality annually. Founded in 2002, The Red Devils is a 501 (c) (3) organization based in Baltimore whose mission is to fund services that improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families.

SARC

Mission:
We are a lifeline for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking, by providing safe haven, advocacy, resources, and hope in Harford County.

The Association For Successful Parenting (TASP)

Mission:
TASP is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of at-risk parents with learning difficulties and their children. This primarily includes parents who may be identified as persons with intellectual disabilities or borderline intellectual functioning.

United Way of Central Maryland

Mission:
United Way of Central Maryland’s mission is to unite and engage our communities to improve peoples.  We fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.
